Anybody heard when these will be at our dealers for sale yet? Here in the US?

I expect they will go fast as soon as they hit the dealers.

According to the Triumph Website:

The t-shirt will be launched on March 24th, the anniversary of McQueen’s 78th Birthday and will be available in black and white, in both men's and ladies sizes. The McQueen t-shirt will be available in April at all authorized Triumph dealers .

don't expect them to be what they seem,
Saw them 4 weeks ago and the black isn't very "black" and the white is more "off" white,
and the "story" is on a 4" X 3" label on the INSIDE back? ? ? ? what? ? ?
some stuff is certainly taking triumph in the HD direction!!!!!

Got the last size large at Atlanta Triumph today. Don't regret it even with $8.00 shipping and haven't even seen it.

Triumph Ltd sends me an automatic promo e mail about once a week. I imagine others are receiving it as well.

"Hollywood legend Steve McQueen (1930-1980) is still one of the most charismatic movie actors of modern times. An Avid motorcyclist and Triumph enthusiast, he preformed the most notorious motorcycle jump in history when filming "The Great Escape." McQueen represented the USA on a Triumph Bonneville in the International Six Day Trials in East Germany, which saw the team return with three medals. McQueen's status as the "King of Cool" remains with him after all these years, proven when he was recently crowned as the Most Iconic Biker of All Time. Triumph Motocycles have taken inspiration from a tee worn by McQueen whilst racing on one of his beloved Triumphs."

I travelled from MD to CT today and stopped by two dealerships. Neither had any clue what the McQueen anniversary shirt was. The one in CT, Libby, looked it up and said it would be avaiable sometime in April. Nice job communicating folks at Triumph HQ! (but now hearing they are $40, doubtful I'd cough that up for a tee shirt)

Picked up a grey McQueen shirt yesterday at Hermey's in PA. $29, no tax in PA (love sticking it to my home state- MD!)
They're a little underwhelming in person. Steve McQ line across the rear top neck line and on the sleeve. Rubber "69" logo on the bottom. For some reason, there is a sewn-in fabric panel with McQueens picture and short bio INSIDE the shirt, near the bottom. So, Steve will have the inglorious task of covering my a$$ when I ride. Still puzzling over the purpose of that panel, very odd.

Hermey's had a big table of last years shirts priced at $19.99 with the same faded, logo on the front of the McQueen shirt. The McQueen shirts weren't out, guess they're trying to unload the old stock first.

I concur the location of the bio is a direct 180 degrees out from what most of us would consider "Intelligent Design" Other than that I have no problem with the shirt.

The designer must have been drunk during the process or on crack.

To put that inside the shirt on the bottom defies any requisite level of intelligence.

Yep Kevin. It was probably designed by the same dunderhead who wrote the above text which John(freedom) supplied us here:

"... An Avid motorcyclist and Triumph enthusiast, he preformed the most notorious motorcycle jump in history when filming "The Great Escape."..."

I'm guessin' the guy never heard of Bud Ekins either, huh?!

I read an obscure blog posting somewhere recently where a Triumph fan was wondering what Steve would think of all this hoopla on a shirt.

Seeing as how he was a very private person.(Mcqueen) The blogger seemed to imply that Steve would not like this at all.

Of course his living relatives are making some money here and I dont think he would deny them all that money.
