Corbin back rest, Really helps out for LONG rides, as it takes some of the strain out of your lower and mid back. You just angle it forward enough and it will support you to the point, where you really don't have to hold yourself up. Con to this, it tends to restrain your free movement on the saddle, so you really can't wiggle around on the seat. Wouldn't ride it around town though.

1.Triumph floor boards - rode 6 months with the pegs and I kept touching the brake. Drove me crazy. Switched to boards and no brake issue, plus I can move around a lot more. Would never go back 3.Corbin's seat backrest - for long rides, it's like heaven. I literally do not have to stop except for fuel 4.Riding chaps - I bought a pair of chaps last year while in Daytona from Walter Dyer's place (they are from Mass. and were down for bike week). Very heavy leather. I thought I would hate them but they are actually very comfortable. Haven't had a occasion to try them in the cold yet... http://www.walterdyer.com/index.html

Chaps help a lot in cooler weather, however, they do not provide any protection in certain places. You can really feel the difference in the covered and non-covered areas.

Floor boards: Great! really helpful to me. You either love or hate them. Try some first before buying. Corbin backrest: all been said, if you go Corbin, get it. Chaps: Buy some nice leather jeans instead. The chicks dig em too. Makes your butt look nice too.

Before a war breaks out, The following are just personal opinion and are not meant to influence or infuriate 1. Floor boards are for VW Beetles, old pick-ups and semis. 2. Gel Gloves - Never had them. Always heard good things. They're on my list of stuff to try 3. Corbins. No doubt good and well recieved by those that have them. I sit 90% of the time at work. My arse is well conditioned. I don't seem to need one. 4. I just love them arseless chaps on the proper lady. Even though I do not own a pair of leather jeans, I second that as the way to go - Unless of course you are that proper lady - Then it's chaps, for sure.

1. Floorboards - excellent. Allows foot movement. Pricey but a good investment 2. Gel Palm Gloves - I have the Olympia Perforated Gel Glove, love them. Not over-priced either. Olympia Perforated Gel Glove Also available in solid leather as well. 4. Chaps - I picked up a set of $50, unlined chaps and used them extensively last Fall, Winter and Early Spring. Makes riding in 40-50 degree temps quite comfortable. Get somewhere whip them off and you don't look like a goon. Don't see much need to spend more than $50 or so, shop around.

Can't speak for the other items but the floorboards are great. If you're on a long ride it lets you move your feet around some... and if like me you're a little vertically challenged it can make things a whole lot more comfortable.
Only other thing I can add is that while I'm sure the corbins're wonderful, I've never had a problem with the standard saddle, even on 6+ hour rides. I -did- buy a sheepskin cover for it, but it was more bother than it was worth so now it's stashed under the house.

Al, 1. Love the floorboards. + = room to move feet around on long rides. - = they could have more "style"... 2. No Idea. 3. Love my Corbin seat, don't have their backrest. and as an aside, I got this info in a newsletter email today from a HD site (I bought my thumb wheel pilot screws from these people...) "Corbin forbids use of images on the internet In a rather surprising move, Corbin seats have banned the use of any of their trademarked images, photos and copyrighted text on the Internet. Attempts to discuss this with Mike Corbin were futile and cryptic. His last reply after telling us that applied to all shops was "Just need to be independant. Web distorts information for it's benefit." Well, all I can say is Huh? We have been with Corbin for many years and this is a surprising move as it can only hurt sales and just does not make sense. Unless he is referring to comments on on-line forums that seem to question the high prices, poor quality and questionable support and feels this is the answer to his woes." Interesting, eh? 4. Riding chaps - I know quite a few and they all seem to be good blokes... oh, you mean those "I think I'm a cowboy/Village People leather thingys".... No Idea....
