I just ordered the kit from Electrical Connection that puts an led ring inside of our indicators to turn them into running/brake lights as well. Last night I check my email and see that they've sent me a notice saying that it will be 4-6 weeks before I get it because of the backlog of orders for this very popular kit. !!!

My guess is it's some of you guys. And hear I thought we were all friends. Just kidding.

Anybody want to switch spots on the order list?

I'm not holding you up as mine are already installed (pics in my album). Be sure to tug on the the pair of 3-wire diode pigtails that come with your kit as one of mine was incorrectly soldered and came apart. A replacement was sent ASAP though.

I just picked up a TailBlazer brake light modulator today. It's still not as good as having full running lights, but hopefully it will grab peoples attention better when stopping. Its pretty cool, because it is a halogen bulb with some circiut board built into the thing. The best part is that it is a direct replacement for a standard 1157 bulb. It was kind of spendy, it was $55 from my Triumph dealer, but that is still cheaper than ordering from their website.

Eventually I'll pick up Electrical Connection's running/brake light kit too.

I'm just whining about having to wait. I'm not planning on installing it until the winter break when I'll be doing a few electrical projects if everything works out.

Did you checkout mine in my pix gallery? I got the device from Kriss.com and I am very happy with it.

ImOK, how easy is it to install? Is it an LED ring like the electrical connection product? The reason I'm asking is that I plan on changing to Kuyakyn silver bullets over the winter and turning them into running lights as well. Any and all info is appreciated.

No LEDS. This is a small MPU. See my Pix gallery for what the module looks like and a brief description. Its about two hours work and you need the shop manual for the wiring color codes.

This is the second time I install one of these, the other one was on my old Sportster. I am very happy with the results.

Call George at http://WWW.KRISS.COM and talk to him. Very helpful.

Hi John,
Thanks for the part# & link. I have been planning to do this. Do you know where I can find some clear lenses for signals?

I like the idea of these and also am going to the Silver Bullets soon. I notice that these running lights fit onto only 2 bulb sizes per the boards the LEDs are mounted to. Will they fit onto the Silver Bullets?? If so, I guess I will be in line behid you.

Thanks.

Why change to clear lenses?

Bullbiker, I guess I'll be finding that out this winter when I start this project.

I just like 'em better. If the LEDs are red and amber, and the lens is amber, won't the red ones make an orange light? I'd hate for someone to think Pete was in town!

I asked this question a while ago, and someone (I think it was Piper) mentioned company called Clear alternatives web page. They need interest from 50 people before they will make lenses for our bike.

Yes, that's true. The more requests they get, the more likely we can get lenses made. I wouldn't mind losing the amber/orange look. I think chrome covered amber bulbs in the stock housings w clear lenses would look
Shoot clearalternatives an e-mail: requests@clearalternatives.com even if you're just the slightest interested...
