Well guys, I have decided that I will find someone else to service my bike or do it myself from now on.Bike had been serviced at the dealer and was not well, I had already had the carbs readjusted after the dealer stuffed it up (earlier post).
Today I was still unhappy with the way Speedy was running so got into it myself.

One thing that peaced me off was the K&N filter. I took it out and it was SATURATED with oil, pooling into the bottom of the airbox and getting sucked into the carbys. It took two goes to clean it using K&N cleaning fluid.

Anyway, the bike is now running awesome, also put in a 17t front sprocket (was 18t).Then went out for a ride over the weekend and what a difference, loved it.

The bike sounds better, pulls harder, and is much smoother.

Love it again...

its to bad good service and dealers are so hard to come by. seems like no matter what, even non motorcycle stuff you need to do it yourself to have it done right

The days of respect and customer service and doing your best or doing something because it's the right thing to do are pretty much over. I'm lucky I have what I consider a great dealer and friend but they seem to be few and far between and that goes way beyond the motorcycle world.

I've got a good dealer as well - he treats me better than what I spend there.

Being in the customer service business for the last 35 years I have to agree that it's a dying art. The bean counters and Gen X'er wunderkinds have no clue these days...

Just think, these dumbazz kids will be running the world someday. That movie about mom and dad saving the earth was supposed to be a comedy, but it was more truth than can be hoped.

The only time I go to the dealer is for warranty and recall work. Even then I'm holding my breath.
