Snow level is at around 2000 feet with more to come. Not much good riding under 2K except the canyons and coast.. and they are both sliding away in the mud.

Yep! Being a native Southern Californian, I know how you feel, Chris.

If you're anything like me(Oh my Gawd!...I can just see a whole lot o' folks around here pleading that THAT ain't the case, alright ) I start to get cabin fever each and every time it rains more than 3 days in a row around here!

(those same people I mentioned are now probably thinking..."ahh, what a wimp")

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I was gonna ride a bit last night, it was 15-20 degrees, but I couldnt get my bike to start up. Starter cranked, tried for 5 minutes or so, but no fire. Battery eventually went down and I went inside for the night. She didnt want to go play I guess.

Oh, I see they've updated the forecast for tomorrow to 40 friggin degrees. Today was 15. Looks like we'll be having some flooding this weekend as all the snow from the past couple weeks starts melting.

It's 25F out right now. The low tonight is forecast to be 38, so it might be warming up. It's supposed to snow Wednesday and Thursday, so I guess I'll just have to bundle up and ride anyway today or tomorrow. I used to have to commute by bike from Fort Tejon to Pasadena every weekday except when the weather got so bad they closed all the back roads, so I know it is possible to ride out that way. Might not be much fun though. The back way from Pomona to San Diego, out to the Perris trolley museum or the air museum at the Chino airport are usually a good ride unless it is pouring rain.

Wait a minute. You're flooding and we're supposed to get another dump tonight/tomorrow. Must be the great continental divide rain/snow shadow up to it's tricks!

Haven't heard from "Panhandle Roadie" in a while. Might have to ring up the old boy, provided his copper telephone line to civilization hasn't come down
