I went out today while it was snowing and decided that it was perfect weather for a little turn signal modification. Thanks to Midlifespeed, Dog33, Runner 23, Echo, and Trojan for all your help ! I ended up going with the set up that Midlife has on his bike. Saw it on the hard bags post and decided I liked the look of it. Mounted the liscense plate flush to the fender with the rubber footer under the stock setup and drilled a couple holes for the bullet style lights. I've got pictures in the photopost section for anyone who wants to check em out. I'll put em in this post too, as soon as I can figure out how. If anyone knows how, please let me know!

Looks great Mike! As far as posting your pictures, when you are composing your post click on the Image link in the Instant UBB Code box and you will get a little pop up window. Right click your photo in the photo gallery and cut and paste the URL listed under properties into the little pop up window.... make sense?

There's a "how to" thread for that in the tech vault.

I'm gonna try this picture posting thing and see how it works, so I'll take this opportunity to shamelessly post a couple more pics of my america. One before and one after the turn signal job.

Yup. From Wichita. I didn't realize that there was anyone else from Wichita on this forum, other than myself and Peter. What are you riding?

Looks so very clean; excellent job. I'm with Soren, that looks like what they meant for it to be all along.

Yup, I am from doda as well, hence the username.
I have been around here since 2003, just don't post much.
I was looking to do a similar change but never could figure out how to balance the look on the front. What are you planning?

Got the lights from my local Triumph shop. They are Arlen Ness Speeding Bullets. I still need to get the load resistors to get them to stop blinking so fast, although a part of me is tempted to leave it that way, just because it catches attention a little better. In answer to the front of the bike, I don't know what I'm going to do. I kinda think the old set up looked more out of place than the new one does, even though the lights are different.Probably do bullets of some kind, but don't know what yet or where I'll put em. I have about three other bike projects on my list before I tackle that one any way. I want to get some whitewalls first. I've been lusting after those things for a while so that'll probably be my next big purchase.

Hey thanks, those are nice and priced right! Wonder if they would fit on the end of the stock turnsignal stalk? Quote:

Look really good. I have heard of people getting warning tickets here in California for the signal lights being too close together. Have any of you heard this? I'm narrowing mine from stock but keeping my stock post incase I get a ticket. I have a large drawer full of stock stuff for that reason. Gary
