Hey everyone,
I have not visited here in quite some time now. Probably did not log 1000 miles last year. Just cannot ride anymore due to the shoulder issues I have been having the last couple of years.
I sold the "silver Bullet" two weeks ago.It was a sad and depressing day when I watched her ride away with someone else at the controls. After 36 years of riding it is tough to give it up.
Ride safe everyone.
Happy New Year !!

Very sorry to hear that.
I'll keep a good thought for you that you might find some
relief or repair and ride again some day.

Sorry to hear that, sad day indeed.I hope I never reach that point. My grandfather had his bike til the day he died, I should have kept it but we sold it at auction and it went for $300 it was a 1966 Yamaha YL100 with 6,000 miles on it.

But every once in a while check back with us and let us know how you're doin', okay?!

(ya know, even though you say you can't ride anymore, you're still ONE OF US....you poor devil, you)

(The Budster might'a been tryin' to make a clean break from this rabble around here, huh?!)

Don't give up hope. Maybe one day, they will adapt the power steering unit on the (I think) Yamaha 4 wheelers to motorcycles. You may yet be able to ride again.

Bud,
Really sorry to hear the news, friend.

Don't be a stranger. After 36 years of riding you still have a lot to share...

And never say never..

Don

I hope so Mr Budster,

To the best of my knowledge, you're half of the ba.com New Mexico contingent, we'd miss you're sabbe' desert observations. Besides, who else on this board knows their way around a mesquite bbq??

Started back ridin about 03. I got a bad back from a car wreck but that is managable. My shoulders started bothering me too. I got a chiropractor/massage therapist who got my left one straight. My right shoulder began to do the same thing till I wrecked my 05 speedmaster and ripped everything in it. After it has healed there is no problem. I've had no surgeries either. Just God's grace. I'm 50 now and see a chiropractor regularly. I tell my friends when I can't ride my Triumph anymore I'm gonna get a Gold Wing. Maybe a Rocket to stay with Triumph. I think the RV crowd would open up to you but I know it wouldn't be the same. Something about that open road. Take care and good luck.

Its more fun to be ridin'! I'm still ridin

Man, it's a sad post; all I can do is wish you good luck in the future. Have you considered turning your Triumph into a trike?
