Funny thing happened today, out for the first ride of 2008, about 10 minutes into the ride, Wow I think there is a forest fire close. 15 minutes into ride, Oh S&$T
I'm burning. Upon closer review there was a small piece of wood lodged between the the head and exhaust pipe at engine. Dislodged the burnt wood. This is another reminder to check out the bike good, I thought I had checked oil, tire pressure, brake lights and turn signals. Never thought I would need to check the engine for burnable material. The ride was great , but snow storm of 6-12 inches expected Sunday night. Oh well spring is only two months away. Ride safe.

WOW, Jonathan!!!

I guess in that case it sure was a good thing that I first studied this here chart below before I went out and bought me that there fire extinguisher which I always strap to my gas tank before I hit the ol' road, HUH?!

______________________________________

Fire Extinguisher Ratings
Class A Extinguishers will put out fires in ordinary combustibles, such as wood and paper. The numerical rating for this class of fire extinguisher refers to the amount of water the fire extinguisher holds and the amount of fire it will extinguish.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Class B Extinguishers should be used on fires involving flammable liquids, such as grease, gasoline, oil, etc. The numerical rating for this class of fire extinguisher states the approximate number of square feet of a flammable liquid fire that a non-expert person can expect to extinguish.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Class C Extinguishers are suitable for use on electrically energized fires. This class of fire extinguishers does not have a numerical rating. The presence of the letter “C” indicates that the extinguishing agent is non-conductive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Class D Extinguishers are designed for use on flammable metals and are often specific for the type of metal in question. There is no picture designator for Class D extinguishers. These extinguishers generally have no rating nor are they given a multi-purpose rating for use on other types of fires.
