OP allsop Complete Newb Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 21	quite some time ago i could swear i remember seeing a post stating that the yamaha V-max valve shims (pucks) were the same as the bonnie america, speedmaster. can anyone validate this..??? since i need some shims this info would be very helpful.

Bucky Loquacious Joined: May 2006 Posts: 3,971	I'm running some Triumph and some Yamaha shims in mine. So far, it doesn't have any burnt Sake exhaust odor. The parts guy at Yamaha near Hartford, CT allowed me to fiddle about with a mic and calculator until I found the perfect shims. A nice kid who apparently is aware that customer service is a good thing. Don't find that everywhere you go nowadays... Ayup
