I’m sorry for coming to this site for some information on oil (engine oils). As you can see I don’t post here often

You may want to use the sites search feature. There has to be dozens of threads on the subject. There seems to be a wide range of opinions regarding motor oil.

Really, the guys are very patient with questions that have been asked a lot, they just like to have a little fun. Don't sweat it and come by more often.

If you want to use a full syn oil plan on paying at least $6.50 a quart. Anything less than that, then you are buying what is called Group 3 Petroleum oil that various manufacturers market as syn oil. Group 4 and Group 5 oils are synthetic man made oils that cost much more to produce, with almost all of them being manufactured here in the USA.

If you save your bacon grease, you can get an amazing flavor using peanut oil and some bacon grease. Also helps brown that fried item golden and delicious.
As far as motor oil is conserned Mobil 1 4T. My walmart has it but not all. ~$9

What ever meets the rating requirements and that you can obtain readily. It really doesn't matter which came first, as long as you get to eat the chicken?
I use Amsoil 20W-50. Product code MCV-QT.
