OK, I am going to be upfront about this and admit that it is a shameless plea to be taken out on somebody's boat - my other favorite pastime apart from motorcycling! A buddy and I are going to be down in Florida (West Palm Beach area between the 17th and 23rd of January and would like to meet up with any BA members in the area, especially if you are also boaters. We will pay for the beer! Looking forward to meeting some of the South Florida contingent!

I love sailing... me and my father sail Liverpool Bay Falcons on the Mersey and over in France too. Great pastime, the only shame is that winter brings the largest tides ( the best for sailing on at FFSC and is also cold as he!l

I used to sail on the Long Island Sound with my dad. But its hard to find time for sailing anymore. Still, I have a small center console which is good to take out in the summer months, even into late October / early November. But it looks like I am going to have to hijack a boat down in Florida if I hope to get out on the water. We will see.

Should have posted this more than two years ago... Before I sold my boat.

Still, I will PM you my cell and maybe we can hook up.

Phil, too bad you sold your boat, but I understand the money issues associated with Boats. As they say "boat" actually stands for "break out another thousand". I will definitely give you a call and we may end up renting something, in which case we would need someone who knows the local waters. Sounds like you may be nominated.
