Call me B*tt ugly and crazy, but for my bike, I'd love to try fitting a T100 Cluster onto my Speedmaster, to get that tach off the nacelle. It's sure be easier to shift by the tach, when I got the throttle b@lls to the wall, then having to split my attention between the road and the tach, AND, I could give Da Boogieman some business for one of his ignition relocation kits!

OK ... you're butt ugly and crazy ... Strange what makes some people happy ..
Anyway, the clocks ... I don't think the dual clocks would look too bad. I had a new T100 before the America and I liked the clocks.

The important thing, were they any more accurate than the S/M America ones?

Well, another idea is to just take it off! Can you get it inspected without a speedo? Hell, I just want to ride, I don't care about the speed and mileage. If I decide to sell it( when hell freezes over) it will still have low miles. It don't mean nothing.

Wizard,
This might be "but-ugly" to some but what do you think of this:
 .
This is dead on accurate for giving your speed plus an additional odometer and all kinds of other functions like riding time, accumulated riding time, time of day, average speed, max speed and so on. At the push of a button you get a whole "nuther" duplicate set of readings for another bike or you can use the "bike#2" feature if you want to measure a "sub-trip" while on a long ride. I've never done this but I'm just pointing out all of the "shi." you get for so little money. If this was made for a motorcyle you'd pay at least (hell, I don't know exactly) but probably $200.00 or so. The picture shows mine installed on the handlebars between the risers.
Here's a pic of the sensor attached to the fork (I am planning to do a better job on this (manana), but this is how it is now). You can also view the magnet on the hub. Just a dot of epoxy holds it on. .
You get all this for $39.00. You can also get these computers for as little as $12.00.

Efficient looking setup, is the thing waterproof?? Silly question, I know. Also, how hard was it to wire into the wiring harness?? Nifty set-up, although I'd still prefer the analog set-up.

Pretty sweet, but not for me. I'll probably save up for the Dakota setup,or just take it off.I'm powercoating my bars, risers and adding 2"spacers now so I'm happy just to be working on it.Hell,I can't stop thinking how I can change something just to be changing.Know what I mean? It seems I'm never satisfied with it.

Roundslide, It is waterproof. In fact,it handles the rain better than the stock tach as far as getting moisture behind the glass. It has it's own battery and you just need to zip tie the wire along the front brake or speedo cable.

That thing was made for a bicycle wasn't it? I had one on my pedal bike some years ago. Mine wasn't anywhere as nice as that one though. Where did you get that thing?

The internet link I went to for specifications (Branford.com) on this Panoram Topeak V12 speedometer said the maximum speed is 99.9 km/h - not much good for us Canadians, eh? They also have the Sigma Sport BC800, on the other hand, which goes up to something crazy like 300 km/h. Rick

That can't be right Rick.. the pic's got it showing 78mph which's just over 125kph... then again it looks like it's only got 2 digits plus a decimal so maybe it's limit is to 99.9 "whatevers"/hour?
I'm assuming that you can set the odometer to whatever you want then, since the digital one matches the standard one? I wonder if it loses it's odometer memory when you remove the battery... makes it hard to figure out when to service the bike if you don't know its milage.

You're right Matt, the maximum is 99.9 mph or 99.9 km/h. By the way, the real web site is www.branfordbike.com/computer/comp5.html Not the one I mentioned earlier. Rick

Yeah I'd found it (thank gawd for google). You could always try the Panoram one rather than the V12 - it apparently does 120mph or 190kph and seems to have all the features the V12 has (I reckon it looks better too). For some reason they recommend the Sigma ones for motorbikes, doesn't say why though.

NQSonic, Here's a link to where one is available: bike computer . This one is smaller and might be better as it would hardly be noticeable. You might want to shop around to find a better price. -Don
