Well guys it's time for me to get started on the custom I have been planning(and storing up parts) for over a year now. I have a tank, fenders, lights, controls(hand and foot). I plan on ordering a frame in Jan. or Feb. and the wheels in mid 08. I think I'm going to either part out my bike or sell it whole. What do you guys think?.......ANGELIS

As much as I'd like some of your bits, I think you might get more from selling it outright, or at least save yourself a ton of hassles and shipping work/costs. You might ping bikerthug and get his input. He parted his out. See if he thought it was worth the trouble.

I'm not following 100%. If you sell it whole, what motor will you use for the custom project?

I have always thought that was one sweet looking bike..
I personally hate the thought of parting out something that nice, but you do what you think is best.

If you part it out, I got dibs on the HD toolboxes. Personally I'd try to sell it whole tho, assuming you can find an appropriate motor.

I have no idea what would work best, but I could give the rear fender a good home if you should decide to sell it.

I guess it all depends on how much money you want to recoupe and how much work you want to deal with. Put it on "FLebay" with a high reserve. If it sells your a happy man, if not your only out the posting cost. Good luck.
If you deside to part it Ill take the windshield

That's a sound idea. pick a number that will leave you satisfied and give it a go.

After reading the responses from you guys, I decided not to sell. I will just have to work extra overtime to purchase the other items. I should have gone into investment banking instead of law enforcement.....Angelis

If you do decide to sell it has been my experience that in most cases you make more money parting things out than selling whole. Selling whole is just faster and easier. Personally I would keep it (like I have with every Triumph I ever owned) and work to pay for the project.

I forgot that was your bike brother! GOD I love what you've done. Please just do some "hustle" to work the new goodies into the garage. I've been down this road so many times... it's a BOATLOAD of work to part it out, but will yield the best $$$ results for you. I see your response to Ian, so looks like you're all squared up. But..... If you do decide to rid yourself of anything, I got dibs on the RINEHARTS! Rock on brother, Jim

MackDaddy, I have another set of new Rhineharts stored with the other parts. I just ordered the VDO marine guages(volts, oil pressure, oil temp, and clock).....Next week on payday I'll place my order for a 6 gallon tank with a 4" stretch......ANGELIS

That's a beautiful bike...Just my opinion, but I'm glad you're keeping it in one piece.
