The Pingel is a nice upgrade vs the the stock-er. Don't expect any performance increase but the operation is butter smooth and looks great. A word of advice, some had trouble with the gasket material leaking, some did not. I believe the newer material is superior. Install it let it set for 24hrs and you should be good. Also some have reported the need to file the hole in the tank a bit to accommodate the pingel. I personally did not have to do this but It should not be to big of an issue if you discover you need to expand the hole a little. Mike

I leave mine turned on, no problems. I did have to expand the hole, use a round file and pull to you so shavings dont get in the tank. The sealant worked good for me also, no leaks. All that and its pretty, too.

The fuel supply is a gravity feed system. If there are any problems downstream, leaving the petcock on will most certainly exacerbate these issues. I always turn off the fuel when I am done riding for the day. It costs me no more than a moments embarrassment when I forget to to turn if back on...
The Nology coils are a darling. Some swear by them, some claim snake oil. Do some research to decide is my best advice.....

make your own gasket and you will have no problems with the petcock, may need to do a bit of filing on the tank to make it fit but not a big deal

I finlly had a chance to go on a nice two hundred mile cruse with the new coils and petcock, boy let me tell you, the bike came alive no problem with steep hills on higher gears and other bikes "never a problem before" but now is without effort, also this is with stock wires. Thanks, to all responds and suggestions.
