Hello everyone. Love the site as I've recently purchased a brand new 07 America, black. However, I'm waiting for delivery of my new bike until the backordered off-road pipes and sissy bar come in. Do any of you know anything about this backorder and how long it may be. My dealer doesn't seem to know. Thanks.

Welcome to the site, we're a buch of smart alecs here, in case you didn't know, but we actually care.(I would have cared more if you had got a red one, AND I would have let you join the "brotherhood of the red", after you sent the dues to me.)Good luck on the back order.

Welcome to the site Rob. Don't know about your dealer but mine doesn't stock hardly any accessory parts for Triumphs. And he's a Triumph only dealer!!! Usually only takes a few days though for him to get the parts from Atlanta. Enjoy your bike.....you've got the best color. Fastest too!

Take delivery of your sickle NOW! When they get the parts bring it back to them.
Don't let a lot of snow get in your way either!
And yous all who say the red ones ain't fast or strong, Cinnamon Girl this past September carried me 843 miles in 10 hours 50 minutes. Thats 77.84 average mph. Who said the red sickles can't haul butt? What is it with the Iron butt association? Red Tape. Ahh that word again!

Ordered the Tall Sissy Bar and Luggage Rack from Madss around a month ago. Same story. They offered to cancel my order as they were not provided with a date from Triumph.
I never could comprehend that. Do the planners and production managers just sit on their butts all day... They must have a production schedule that dictates when these will be available.

It took me 5 1/2 weeks to get my accessories all in. I finally got my short TORs, windshield, tach and tall sissy bar installed on Tuesday. It was frustrating waiting for these items but well worth the wait (especially since they were free) :-)
And let me tell you, the TORs are awesome, makes a new ride feel even newer! Lots of fun!

UPDATE:
Pipes have been in for a week or so, and I wasn't told (but to be fair, I did tell the dealer to wait until ALL the parts were in). The sissybar is still on backorder and will be until at least after the holidays. Needless to say, I'm VERY excited. Bike gets delivered tomorrow! Just having the dealer send me the sissybar after it comes in. I'll install myself.

Maybe we (Hinds Motorsports) got all of the tall sissy bars, and that's why they're back ordered. It says we have five.
