Just wondering if there are any rallies in North Caroliina? I should have my Triumph by springtime and will be ready to get riding and meet other Trumpet rides. Dave

Hey David.What part of N.C. you from?I'm in Wilkesboro birthplace of Nascar,Lowe's and probably the best bluegrass festival, Merlefest.I've only made one trip to the Georgia rally however I'm more than ready for the next one.Putting faces to the names and meeting these folks face to face is great fun and I don't believe there's a better group of people anywhere.You come away with a feeling of being part of an extended family.The down side is having to leave!!!! When the time comes maybe we can hook up with other riders.Stay tuned, the GA. rally thread will start before you know it.

Dude!!! I lived there. Graduated from Wilkes Central HS and went to WCC. Believe it or not I actually played with Doc and Merle at Docs house once! We used to go to the Union Grove Bluegrass Festival. Can't remember the name of the neighborhood I lived in, but it was off of Old Sparta Road. Got to meet up in GA and discuss Wilkesboro some more. There is the GA rally, as well as spring and fall bike week in Myrtle Beach, we use to have one in Charleston untill someone messed it up by geting to greedy FDH, lots of stuff goes on there. I am in Charleston SC not to far away.

I'm just north of Wilmongton NC now. Been here since 1972. I really want to get back to Wilkesboro, or if nothing else...Batcave. Wife hates snow, so Wilkesboro might be out.

Just curious if anyone has the dates for the GA 2008 rally. If I am even thinking about going I need to put in for vacation now. My current work/travel schedule is so messed up.

Thanks Chy, I just submitted my various vacation requests for the next 9 months. Hopefully there won't be any issues or conflicts with it. Looking forward to the trip again...

That would be great! I rode to Perry GA for the Deep South Drift-In this year (for Kaw Drifters) by myself, and believe me...its much more fun with someone along on the ride with you. Keep in touch and well majke plans when the time comes nearer. Davespain is in the Triad, so the three of us could ride there as a trio. Dave
