I'm installing some mini bullets on the bolts that hold the rear fender to the rest of the bike (same ones used to mount the sissy bar).
The wiring for the tail light and rear signals (that I need to tie into for these new turn signals) runs up one side of the underside of the fender, but I need to figure out how to run some more wire up the other side without getting caught up w/ the rear tire.
The existing wiring is secured by some metal tabs that are welded to the underside of the fender. I don't have a welder or any welding experience. Right now, duct tape is my best bet but I don't trust that it will hold.
Anyone have experience w/ this or an idea? It should be noted that I don't really want to do any drilling through the fender, but I suppose I could do that where it's covered by the support brackets (drill a hole and mount a simple fabricated bracket using nut, bolt, and bent sheet metal)?
Thanks in advance, Joe

A few dabs of epoxy should hold them flat against the side. Do it with the fender on its side...

Some pipe strap loops secured to the inner side of the fender bolts would do the trick.

I put the wires inside 1/4 inch air line tubing and then used epoxy to hold it to the fender. Used hot glueto hold evetything in place until the epoxy set

Under certain circumstances I've put wire in split loom, run a bead of clear silicone, set the .loom onto the silicone and held it in place with duct tape til it dried. holds pretty tight.

Where do you find a split loom? I just moved my turn signals which required me splitting the loom and the wires are now exposed. Can you help? Please email me at darren_bean@msn.com Thanks

Almost any parts store sells split loom with different diameters, looks similar to the wire loom that you see under the hood of any gm or ford vehicle.

I had my signals bolted thru the strut/fender holes with the wire going undernieth by the previous owner. The tire eventually wore the wires thru because my bike was lowered and there was barely any space between the fender and the tire. What I did was just drill holes thru the strut and bolted the signals right to it. Then I just ran the wires behind the strut and under the seat. In fact i drilled the hole right next to the fender bolts so the blinker looks almost exactly like it was bolted through the fender bolt hole. Plus i didnt have to go thru the trouble of running the wire up under the fender and worrying about it. you can sorta see it in this picture...looks exactly like theyre bolted thru the fender bolts.
