I just installed TOR's on the America. Now is it possible to remove the bowls with the carbs in place to change the mains, without anything falling out like the float? I know the area is tight to work in, but I'm used to stuff like this.

Yes, it's time consuming but easily done if you have a couple of properly fitting right angle screwdrivers and a mirror.

Tools are not a problem, and right now time seems not to be one either here in St.Louie. It's going to be rain to freezing rain to snow all this week.

Thanks!

use pats instructions and take your time. not a bad job at all. get the stainless carb screws to replace the crap stockers and i say if you can afford it pull out the airbox. will make any future jetting easy and your more than half way done with just jetting

Very easyily done. If you have no experience I think it's a good idea to remove the carbs and do it with carbs upside down to get familar with them and to install allen head bowl screws the first time. I had a heck of a time with a couple of the oem bowl screws. I know the guys had trouble with a couple screws on Capns bike at the CT tech day at Unclecharlies place too.

I use a little ratchet with a bit in it. First did it with the stock phillips screws, had no problem. Later switched to the allen head screws from newbonneville. Just be sure to hold that tube thing with an 8mm wrench while unscrewing jet. If you take that part out, a tiny brass seat will fall out and you will have to carefully take the other side apart to see which way it goes back in. Mine fell somewhere behind the battery and it took me quite a while to find and retrieve it. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Can get the allen screws at the local hardware store, I did and saved some money. I got mine at Ace ,Home Depot and Lowes don't have much of a stainless selection here but True Value does and Ace even more.

Do you have to rejet with TORs and stock air? My dealer didnt rejet when I bought TORS. I didnt rejet until the FREAK went in.

BTW... Any one looking for a set of TOR shorts or stock pipes for an 06 TBA?

Probably don't have to but since the bikes are lean to start with it's a good idea in my book.

With the carbs in place,120's out and the 125's in about 2 hours. Space was tight, especially on the left side. I'll mess with the airbox and AI when the weather gets a little warmer.
