I know I saw pictures of a faux oil tank in place of the side covers and airbox on here, but I've searched for an hour now, and I can't seem to find them. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

I remember it too. It was a picture of a non-members bike at a rally or show that one of our members attended; I'm thinking it may have been in Canada but I really can't remember the details. This is Larkfarms bike but this isn't the one I remember:

I think Chppahead makes one if not I might have seen it on Ebay. I also think I saw one in Corruptcycles (sp?) gallery. Yep CorruptCycles first shot is roughly welded up and 2nd shot is on the bike.

Not functional, just a place to hold battery and hide the wires and solenoid and such and give it the oil tank look.

It's functional, it just doesn't hold oil.

That oil tank looks great, but has anyone tried to retro fit a harley version for us non welders?
TBA, Stainless extractors / drag pipes, 65mm over forward controls, Thruxton needles, 904cc, head ported, lowered 1-inch, Console removed, relocated battery box, Australia.

Some friends helped me do this earlier this year (I haven't posted any pics yet). Any pre-made oil tank is going to require a good bit of fabrication to make it work.
It's nice to have friends who are also welders.

I'd like to see some pictures if you get a chance. I like the look of you're bike. It's kind of what I'm going for.

That ugly little can was a mistake. I spents hours working on a mini beer keg to fit in that hole to hold the fuse block, battery, and ignition. It turned out o.k., so we painted all the tins, while waiting on the sheet metal I decided to lower the bike no big deal. When I pu it all back together the cool little beer keg sat dead on the chain, so I tossed that idea went inside poured the pasta out of the little pasta tin my wife had on the counter, put 2 brackets on it and its been there ever since. Still says pasta on the top of it.

That was a good one, the wires are inside fake oil lines if I remember correctly to make it look like a functional oil tank and making it look wireless.
