I'm a diesel fanatic and am thrilled they have finally come of age , so you can imagine this made me warm and fuzzy.

Try on 120 bhp and 250 foot pounds of torque

I wonder if it will wheelie

My chipped vw TDI (diesel) makes around 150hp and 230 ft lbs and it feels lively. I can't imagine that w/ a bike...I want one too!

Interesting idea, but will it catch on.

Where did you find this. Is there a web site for this bike.

redesigned numerous parts using SolidWorks 3D computer modeling software,

I know how to use that Maybe I can redesign a few TDI parts and mount it in a frame?

You might try stuffing a Cummins from a Dodge into a Rocket 3 frame.

I've seen pics of a VW TDI Diesel (1.9l 4cyl) in a hardtail chopper frame, running through an HD style trans. It wasn't pretty, but it looked good for what it was. I'm sure all you'd ever see of it on the road is a speck in the distance and a cloud of smoke. I bet it'd get 60 mpg too.

Here is a link to a German parallel twin diesel with a 1430cc displacement. Each piston is connected to 2 connecting rods and 2 counter rotating crankshafts.
http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/roadtests/neander_1400_turbo_diesel_motorcycle/index.html Very unique concept and very good looking. In the artice they state.... quote "the incredible diesel device I found waiting for me to ride in the Bavarian countryside south of Munich, masquerading at a swift glance as an American-style cruiser with a big parallel-twin motor that could easily resemble Triumph's forthcoming 1500cc custom, is a bike literally unlike any other" It even looks like a Triumph specifically the 1500??? Does this writer know something we don't???

The engines are kind of square and ugly but I like the bike over all. Would like to ride one just to feel what it's like.

Is there talk of a Triumph 1500? Hadn't heard that. I'm always left out of the loop!
