Has any one had this problem and have a part number or other permanent fix? BA has Freak, 160mains, 44pilots, air mix3 1/2 to 4 turns, BUBS dresser dogs. Never had more fun on any bike - 2nd bike 2008 RIIIT

I have a feeling the connector hiding between 17 & 40 in the picture may be it. http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/triumph-motorcycle-speed-master/o/m6898 I'm not far behind you in breaking mine, the way they have it all crammed into such a small space in the battery box area. It shouldn't be too difficult to make a new one and bypass the old one if necessary. I'm strongly considering this if only to make the cable more movable without fighting the constraints of the harness each time I need to pull the battery.

I was able to unwrap enough to make it long enough to use an over sized copper blank. It was easy enough with the right solder and torch. It is still tight under the seat but have plenty of room to get it set on the battery correctly. First startup and all looks good. Ed, Thanks for the link. I have it saved as a PDF file for future reference. Next time I will need to do something other than the fix I just did. Come Jan, I will be riding a spanking new RIII Touring.... along with the BA so I should never be without a two wheel ride BA has Freak, 160mains, 44pilots, air mix3 1/2 to 4 turns, BUBS dresser dogs. I'm running without the vertical plastic cover over the battery terminals, and all that area looks pretty crude. I'll Look for some nicer looking cables & relocate the harness ground & fusebox feed. Here's my question: Would changing out the factory terminal screws in favor of stainless socket or button heads cause problems?
