what does everyone use to clean the blacked out cases on the speedie? Just wanted some ideas to see if there is something someone is using some magical potion I have not thought of! Thanks in advance.

that's what I use now. Seems like I heard that WD40 was not good for the finish or something. Don't know if true or I just dreamed that up or heard it somewhere or read it somewhere. Tried the search engine on here but came up with no topics.

I was told to use engine bright and then someone on here said to shine it up with black shoe polish, haven't tried that yet.

I use a light spray with Silicone spray then a wipe with a rag on all the black on the bike. Keeps it like new.

I use Meguiars
Gold Classâ„¢ Vinyl/Rubber Protectant
or
Armour-All

Neither last as long as wax, but neither leave waxy, white residue in the rough areas.

S100 & Mother's back to black work about equally well. Armor All will work as too.

I've tried a few different cleaners that have been mentioned here, but the one that I found gives the best, longest lasting shine on the SM's black cases is Motul Shine and GO. It ;s silicone based, but the nice thing is that if you overspray onto any other bike part, it wipes away without streaking. I also use it on the front forks and wheels. The bugs and brake dust are easier to clean off.
It's great stuff, smells nice, and is only about $8 a can.
