On;y if you are the department boot lick. No raises, no bonus. the boot liker is getting face time with the city Assistant managers b-cuz there is a directors position opening up. I've been told to not bother applying, I'm not what they are looking for. If any of you remember the "day after September 10th" thread, you'll understand. I've been black-balled. It's worth it. At least I can sleep. I'm calling the ethics whistle-blower hot line in the morning. I've had it with their dirt-bag ways...

I got a pityfuly cheap Ham one time. I think it was around Christmas 1971 or 1972. A few months later we really got porked by getting laid off. A Japanese Company bought it out, made money on the stock market, and then threw the whole company out like garbage. No bonuses since then.

2003 Speedmaster I won't rise to the occasion, but I'll slide over to it.

Leave a box wrapped in christmas paper on my market stall hoping some customers put something in .Mostly its small change. Last year just over £50 ( $100 ) so not bad but works out £2 ( $4 ) a week = pint of beer . Still happy christmas and a healthy new year to you all.

Yep, but I work for a law firm and I think it's pretty standard in the industry. It's repayment for getting beat down the rest of the year.

Bonus....nah, that might cut into our CEO's 500.000 salary.
I think he actually makes more than the Doctors do.

Well, yeah, sort of... SSI sent me a letter stating that on 12/26 I'll get a check for the amount they've been shorting me all year. Just in time to help with the new years gifts. Oh, wait, it's not new years that we give gifts now, is it?

We used to get profit sharing checks in the Spring, but that went away the last time the company changed hands.

We used to get a Xmas bonus based on years of service - it was a pretty nice chunk of change. Then in 1995, the bean counters changed the fiscal year, and we got bonuses in February, based on merit. In other words, ******-kissing...
Since the new company took over, this year's bonus is based on meeting certain "criteria" - x dollars for this, x dollars for meeting this standard, x dollars for wearing purple on Arbor Day, x dollars for no one sneezing on the job, etc. etc.

So yes, I get a Xmas bonus. In February. If I'm lucky.

Happy Groundhog Day.

I used to get a frozen turkey breast, a chance to leave the grindstone and eat shrimp and cheese crackers at the "Holiday Event" - before that they used to call it a company Christmas Party...... and they had, set ups, an' music, an' dancing, and FUN, but that seems like the 70s-80s... NOTHING NOW .......

Pages of sad tales...........

I got one once, in 1982 when I was a $600/mo cowboy on the Indian Creek Cattle Co, Monticello, Ut. I thought it was cool.

I can no longer remember if I spent it or saved it

I wouldn't call it a christmas bonus as such but we usually get a small gift card to Target or some other store.

Once, the department manager gave us all expired coupons for icecream. She was very embarrassed when she found out they were expired, but didn't replace them.

Christmas bonus no don’t get one of those but the company does give me 120 South African Rand = 17.92101 US Dollar or 120 South African Rand = 8.73501 British Pound towards our lunch. However I never bother claiming this either.

My company does the free turkey at Thanksgiving / free ham at X-mas thing and they have a nice lunch catered at X-mas too. Unfortunatly, I work 500 miles from the plant, so I don't get any of those things.

Last year my boss said to take my wife out for a nice dinner to make up for it... So I took her to Ruth's Chris Stakehouse... very nice, very costly and.... I'm not allowed to do that again!

Well, if you want to get into "holiday" parties at work, we haven't had a christmas party in 3 years. Now we have a "Holiday Party" in FEBRUARY.

(Although it's now more fun than the christmas parties ever were.)
