I would like to know what problems you've run into putting different handle bars and/or grips on your bike. Years ago I had my Norton set up with Z style handle bars and would like to set up the America the same way. The J&P catalog has some different W and Z bars on page 290 that look like the way I want to go. Any reason these will not work on the bike. Looks like I will have to use different grips. Got any suggestions what will work? Think a ten inch center, twenty six and a half inch wide, six inch rise, with a twelve and a half inch pullback bar, will work with the stock cables? Thanks again everbody!!! Al

If you are going to all the trouble of changing the bars why
not change the cables to braided stainless.
Get the bars that fit you and your style.
then measure for new cables if the length is different.
Clutch and throttle cables and brake hoses are available from
Belacorse.
I needed 8" longer than stock with my new bars.
I prefer the Kuryakyn iso grips but you could keep the stock ones , they fit any 1" bars.
You can use your factory risers with just about any 1" bars also.
And you will need to put the wiring in the bars for that cleaner look.
Wow , you have a lot of work ahead
