I would like to know what your experience has been with Küryakyn mirrors installed on a Speedmaster. I'm specifically interested in Küryakyn Magnum Plus Convex Mirrors. Apparently, I need to install a mirror adapter for metric cruisers. I found them at Ma's Cycle: http://www.mascycles.com/eshopitems_cat_1477-7636-1176.Mirrors.htmAre they easy to install? Do they vibrate and distort their view as much as people claim? In essence, I'm wondering if they are worth the money? Any help would be much appreciated. Jason

I have the Magnum Plus "plain" mirrors. Mine are vibration free, not distorted, give me plenty of peripheral view without the convex, and they look a whole lot better than the stock lollipops. You need the adapters that Ma's sell when you order them, and you'll need to remove the spring steel retainers from the receptacles on your bike, but that's pretty easy to do. The K's are a bit hard to adjust on the rode once they're tight, so take your time with the set up if you get them.

Installation is easy, but if you want distortion/vibration-free mirrors, then stock is the better option. The Küryakyns (large flat mirrors)are better looking but are prone to vibration at certain speeds and clear at others. I've tried several things others have mentioned, but no luck. The Küryakyn ISO Grips helped a little bit with damping, but have not eliminated the problem.

Hey Miniski, Where they the convex mirrors? and if you still have them, what do you want for them? I figure they CAN'T shake as bad as they do on a HD.

I have magnum plus mirrors & like them a lot - they do vibrate a bit though. FYI: you don't need the Kuryakyn metric adaptors (# 1445 or 1446) as they are threaded for Japanese bikes etc. Ours are not threaded. I think Ma's adaptors (extensions) would help - #MA0402.

I have the Convex ones and like them better than stock (The non magnifying ones are unusable). There is some vibration but only one at a time depending on the RPM and higher speeds. I got used to it because they do give me a much bigger field of vision and you can see anyway. Installation is a breeze but the stem is not easily moved once you tighten it. I just hope someone comes up with some dampening adapter.

It just seems $18.55 is over priced for one adapter. You have about $40.00 invested in adapters including shipping even before you buy the mirrows. Maybe someone else will come out with a more reasonable priced adapter. I know all chrome parts are overpriced so I have started getting some stock parts chromed. I started with the rear footpeg brackets which only cost me $20.00. I had already purchased the chrome footpeg adapters so now I need to buy a pair of chrome footpegs.

Plastic chrome housing on the mirrors probably absorbs a LOT of the vibration that the all-metal Küryakyns transmit to the glass....

I recently installed the Kuree,, kuryiee,,, Kuryakyn magnum magnum plus mirrors onto a set of buckhorn bars purchased visiting Ma's Cycles last month. Like JB, they are rock solid with respect to any distrortion. I like them.

I think you'll find that $18.55 is for 2 adaptors, not one. They come as a set. I know its not clear from the catalogue - but if you read really carefully, somewhere in there it says they come as a pair. I still think its a lot of money for two bits of tube recessed at one end though!

besides you have to have the adapters for them to fit right.if you pull your mirrors out,you will see thst they are taperd.the adapter does thst.Call up Ridge Motorsports(out side of Columbia) he get me mine for like 10.00.I am not sure where he got them. But most of the samll custom stuff I buy there comes from Brett.
Also I am down in Charleston about a hour or so away, next time I am up that way Iwill look you up,or vise versa.

Just put the Küryakyns on and took the Blue Streak for a ride. Just a litle vibration at a narrow RPM band, makes the view a little fuzzy but certainly not unuseable. I like the look and the wider view is nice.

i installed the kuryakyn magum plus, large head with long stems on my '02 BA...didn't order/need any adapters...the mirrors come with an ssortment of mounting hardware, intended for harley mounting as i understand it, and some of these worked just fine...plus a couple of SS washers from my local hardware store...i get a bit of vibration at certain rpm's, notably around 4000...i can live with it, i just drive faster ...but i love the look and the wider field of view...
