so what is the difference between pre-hinckley and hinckely?
aren't they both the same bike by the same basic design?

Hinckely = Modern , new/modern engineering ,new tools and dies , fancy looking factory with shinny glass windows ! . Coventry & Meriden factories = Old School , i.e. "Oh, so that is what a tool pouch is for"
Modern IS better....

Ray, it must certainly have been a LONG time ago! I didn't think England existed any more after the Union Act...

The basic design of Meridian(pre-Hinckley) is from 1938.

The basic design of Hinckley's are from 2000-1. Don't break, don't leak, don't shake.
