Has anyone looked at putting a dakota digital on the America or Speedmaster? I wonder how expensive and difficult it would be. Any ideas?

If you're looking for something cheaper and a bit more custom, I know member SRS built a digital tacho from a kit and mounted it in the console - looks pretty d@mn good, even included a simple battery volt meter. The same company does speedometer kits that work off a magnet & sensor mounted on your front wheel. Only problems I can see is you'd the odometer/trip meter, and the kit's done in KPH, doesn't say anything about a MPH mode.

frank, i set it using mile markers on 895 in maryland so if they're accurate, the speedo is. i find i'm doing the 'right' speed through traffic now. used to be i was going 65 (indicated) and getting passed constantly. i feel i'm actually spot-on now. top speed (so far) 107 mph.
