I got a set. There are a couple different kinds. Mine are the dragpipes meaning they are 1 3/4 (actually 1 7/8) the entire length. triumphdetroit built a bike with some, and Soren has a set that are the bigger 2 1/2" with built in baffles. You can get them on Ebay and just about any aftermarket site. Look for 1 3/4" fishtails. I had extensions made (which you can now buy on ebay for a 1/3 of what I paid) and cut mine so the bracket lined up and i could extend them to the rear fender. Most will end at the axle nut. Do a search on my username and fishtails and you can read my saga. They are stupid loud (louder than open headers) and need some tuning. Running them wide open loses all the bottom end. I can give you some tips on baffles, as I went through 4 sets before I found the right set up. Now My bike runs as strong as ever- and I've had D&D's, BUBs, Stock gutted in three stages, and the fishtails in 6 stages of baffles- so I have a little R&D with them...

Looks cool, first I have seen your bike with them on and finished. I definately like it. That is exactly what I wanted to do but couldn't find them long enough and didn't want to piece it but that looks great. I may have to look into it again.

Hey, thanks for the props, Ian. I need to post some pics. The bike has an America front fender, Victory risers and bars, is lowered, has the battery relo'd to under the seat, and bunch of other little things and chrome bits...
I'm going to raise it back to stock and put the hard bags on it (big box on the work bench) that I've had for 6 months now. I need the storage and am tired of dragging the kickstand. One of these days I'm going to need the extra 8 deg's of lean to make a corner and it's going to lift the rear tire...
my apologies for hijacking the thread...
and now back to your originally posted topic!

Did someone mention fishtails? My favorite pipes! Tomorrow I wil break out my catalogs and post some places, part numbers and prices. Right off hand I can say that mine cost me about $150 for the pair from Iron City Cycles. They are loud. I did put an extra baffle in them to deaden the sound some. They are tolerable now. I thnk Wojo has the same ones that I have too. Soren

Mine were 85+ bd at idle and over 120 db at 4k RPM. Aside from the db level, it is the ice pick in the head "crack" at the end of the exhaust note that make them obnoxious.

I have never measured the DB level of mine. I knwo exactly the ice pick in the head "crack" at the end of the exhaust note. On my bike it was constant at about 4500 RPM, which unfortunately is my favorite cruising RPM. The extra baffle helped take care of that problem.

No, I didn't. I am running a little lean, but at 52 mpg and it seems to run good, I am debating on rejetting or not.
