HIT a snag yesterday getting the bike! Went in with financing but the sales girl started jacking me around and adding $$ to it. 165$ for pushing paper $600 for transportation and crating. Then wanted to start shaving down the $1200 in free stuff to get the bike priced where I wanted it. I had to have my wife go in there and talk with her woman to woman. All she got was more run around but the lady offered us 10% off anything in there store forever if we bought the bike. Found out after we left(with out the bike) that you get the 10% anyway when you join RAT! Anyone out there got any advice?

Were you at Oz? Looks like the only Triumph dealer in Kansas.

That is ridiculous! The $1200 in free accessories is supposed to be just that....FREE! Find another dealer!

I highly recommend Eurosport Cycles. Tony and Marsha own the joint and work the store. Scott runs parts. They all ride (Triumphs) and they all race or have raced. They will give you a fair and straight up deal. Tell em Bryan Jennings sent you to them. I've bought one from them, sold one to them, and sent two of my friends there who bought. We all got good, fair deals and great service.

Glad you found out before the sale that dealers true colors. find a new one, even if it means a slight drive.

I wish Triumph would monitor more closely how their dealers treat people. It really makes me mad to hear about situations like this. If you want to make a 1,775 mile break in ride, I know my dealer would treat you right.

It sucks they do this crap, it gives Triumph a bad name and reflects badly on honest dealers.

You know, either they want your business or they dont. To accpet a deal that you feel isnt right will only leave a bad taste in your mouth. Look around, it may not be the most convenient, but other dealers DO want business and will earn it.

$8499?!?!?! I just bought my '07 america this weekend and they were asking $8199 to start, and automatically waived the freight and setup charges. I got mine at Baxter cycle in southwest Iowa. Not to far of a drive for you. The only downside is that I got the last America there. They have an all black speedy still there though. Look them up. Good honest people there.

I see so many dealer complaints. I bought 2 bikes from Performance cycles in Shrewsbury MA. They were fantastic and cheaper then any prices I've seen quoted here.

Ever think about buying used? New stuff is overrated in my book. Especially when you compare it to the trouble of working with a dealer.

WHAT'S THEIR EMAIL?

Perhaps we should all start telling these "bad" dealers what we think of them and also explain to them what motorcycling is all about. Any dealer that still has 07s on the floor should be bending over backwards to make the sale.

I bought my America at Machines In Motion, Cumming Ga. and was extremely pleased with the service, the way I was treated, etc. Tell that dealer to put their bike where the sun don't shine and spend your money elsewhere. You will be a lot happier in the end!

I second Tom's thoughts if you can find a good used one.
Guess I was sorta fortunate in that back in '05, I went to Engle motors http://www.englemotors.com/ in KC looking for a black one.
They didn't have one in stock, but took a black '03 in trade the next week.
They called me & that's what I ended up with.
Happy ending.
I don't know what their stock is at the moment, but they keep a pretty large inventory.
You'll probably talk to Pat or Terri if you call.

I have bought tons of parts and 2 bikes from Hermys and never once felt I got a bad deal. 04 SM in 05 with 700 miles on it for $5,000 plus a bunch of extra stuff and Wendys bike was about the same. Both had a year left on the warrenty. Both had many extras. I would send a friend to see them with no worries, all dealers should be that way.
