I just found out last night that Rob Zombie is doing a concert in Great Falls tonight (70 miles north of Helena). He's performing as part of Ozzfest which is playing or just did play in Billings, and for whatever reason, at the last minute, decided to to a gig in Griffals.
I sorta wrote it off - I figured it would be sold out. Ozzfest sold out in Billings in less than 24 hours. This morning one of my buddies, a guy I used to ride with and is the contractor who built my garage, called to say he had an extra ticket. WAHOO! SCORE!

I couldn't really get into his last album (Educated Horses?), but I like all his older stuff. And hopefully he'll hit some White Zombie stuff as well.

Dang, Rob Zombie wasn't at OzzFest in Denver couple of months ago... I got jipped!
I am however, still recovering from a Danzig show last night. Second time I've seen him, and maybe the two most fun shows I've ever been too.

Would that be at the 5 Seasons Arena? Haven't been there in 6 or 7 years...

Yeah, Rob can't really sing, only scream. My favorite: Black Sunshine. Enjoy the show, should be an experience.

Well, be jealous, baby! They played Black Sunshine! It was so awesome. They brought it, too, the pyro, the smoke, the big hellhound head on the elevated drum platform, they even had a guy (probably some poor roadie) dressed up in a giant Astro creep robot costume for More Human Than Human. They played a few more White Zombie songs, mostly from the Astrocreep album. Then Dragula brought the friggin house down. I think there was only one song off Educated Horses. Such an excellent show. It was a pretty small venue compared to other places I've been (MacNicols Arena in Denver, the Billings Metra and the MSU fieldhouse). Maybe Red Rocks is smaller capacity but I doubt it.
BTW, Rob sang much better than the opening act. I can't even remember their name but think Evanescence mixed with Bif Naked, so a hard rock band with a screeching chick up front. Yikes. When she wasn't screaming like a banshee I did get the sense that the lead guitarist was pretty talented, but just just couldn't hear him when she had her mouth open.
