I received a catalog from Whitehorse Gear. I am going to replace my tires this winter and want to do it myself. This outfit has tire tools and stuff. They say these beads will balance your tires and will continue doing it as things change. Has anyone used them? Are they any good?

I believe this is the product he saw.....

No opinion on this stuff but, I have purchased from them in the past and they have some pretty neat/innovative gear.

Some folks put golf balls in their tires. Of all these products and I'v seen quite a few tried. None seem to work as advertised. Even King Richard Petty was backing a product, powder based, a few years back. We tryed it in a few dozen tires. Didnt see any impovement in balance or wear. Some of the others work marginally. But nothing yet seems to replace to ole lead weight. Except a perfectly made tire. Which requires no weight to balance if the rim's true.

In the truck shop I work at we use the powder balance in all the front tires and it always seems to work fine, but they are trucks and due to their size and weight, balancing of the rear tires is not necessary.
