It was really cool they give you the history including the ice cream they made across the street and they take you in the cave under the plant.

Genessee, yes!

I've always been a fan of the Cream Ale. Whenever I trek over to Poughkeepsie to visit family, I try to pick up a case of bar bottles. Not the best beer/ale in the world by a long shot, but being a regional and memorable (in many ways!) brew, it's always a good buy.

Yuengling has also become a favorite of that area too. Not bad, I might add...

they make several kinds from light to dark and lager. It's pretty good I quit drinking 21 years ago but took the tour this summer and I tried some of the dark they had and it was pretty good. I forget what they called it now all I had was 1 sip to try it.

I hear ya. Same with Disney World last weekend.

I'll be heading to God's Country, Beaufort, South Carolina, next weekend, and I am sure to get plenty.

Guess I should have specified I can't get any Yuengling up here. And whats worse...when you ask for a lager at a bar, the have the nerve to give you Sam Adams.

Yuengling Porter. Yum.

I was hooked on the Dark Porter last summer. Blood pressure, my doc and the wife suggested a lite beer might be a wiser choice. I switched to the Yuenglings Lite (not the Light lager, but the blue/sivler label) and it's actually pretty decent. Far better than the Coors light swill my wife drinks. I love Yuenglings draft as well....

Yuengling lite ain't bad at all - for us older cardio-vascularly challenged folks...
It's funny, but even tho it's the oldest brewery and in Pa. etc. etc. - it wasn't available here in W. Pa. till a few years ago.
Now, since the demise of (blechhh) Rolling Rock, it's one of the most popular beers around these parts.
Black and Tan is gooood stuff. Tasty.

Yep, Yuengling is really a good beer, I'll be getting a 1/4 keg this weekend. I prefer draft beer.
