I'm looking at heated clothing for the upcoming months of riding my '07 America. The clothing from CozyWinters ( CozyWinters ) It seems like a pretty complete package, and I like the way it all connects together. Does anyone have experience with this system or could recommend another? I'm having the Triumph 12 volt adapter installed on my bike. Does it have a standard cigarette lighter connection? If I get the entire package (jacket liner, pants, gloves, socks...will the electrical system on the bike melt down? Thanks!

Looks good plus it's cheaper than Gerbings and it's compatible with all other heated systems. I might have to give it a try.

I do believe the genuine Triumph outlet is BMW sized. The installer will know.

Add up the total wattage of high beam, brake light, running light, and two signals, then add the total wattage of the outfit you want. Subtract that total from what your owners manual reports for amps X volts. If I recall, these bikes push around 325 watts? Not sure about that though.
Whatever you get, a heat controller is a plus, as is a separate on off switch for shutting of the clothing at stop lights and such.
I love Winter, and Winter riding is a trip. It's not a whole lot different than a snowmobile.

The Triumph adapter is indeed a BMW style plug but you can get a BMW to car adapter for it from many sites.
The battery gauge that Martin linked to is probably a good idea. FastEddy sells them and several members here have them for use on the bike when they have alot of things plugged in. I plan on getting one for the bike soon.

yes, the idea of having a single connection is good. also you can't walk away and leave your grips draining your battery.
There's gotta be an electric underwear joke here somewhere though.

Just found the spec - 27 Amps X 12 volts = 324 watts
You should be good for at least that much, or more if they bumped up the alternator for '07
