Need info from those that have flipped their tail light over. I'm not wanting to cut the fender or move the light- just flip it over. Can this be done without the indention in the fender showing or holes or whatever? I want it to look and seal like factory.

It's only three nuts (10 or 11mm) on the backside. Take a look for yourself.

Member baileyjj posted pictures of that exact mod months ago but the pics aren't online anymore. Seems like there was a slight issue with the seal around the base that had to be addressed but there was an easy work around, I just can't remember what it was.

Bryan, flipping the tail light over won't quite cover the indent in the fender, close if you position it a little higher than where it was. You also end up drilling three new holes in the fender as well. The pics that Ed are talking about, if memory serves had the tail light moved up to where the license plate is(was) and the plate repositioned so that the tail light now shines down on it, make sense?
I had to replace my rear fender due to an accident and tried playing around with a few different light ideas but the indent kept me from doing much..... Sooooo, I just cut the thing out, welded in a new piece so it would be smooth from top to bottom and put my tail light of choice on. Got one of the LED '39 Ford style tail lights from the Shiney Hiney folks... me likes.

Well... I tried that before posting. I'm not completely helpless- just high maintenance (but I come with my own tool kit). Problem is the wire won't let you move it around. I even cut the wire, but then the studs on the light prevent you from putting it to the fender to really check the fit.
