Bonneville America Forums Forums Technical Forums Exhaust BUBS... How do they look to you?

Just got BUBS today and as I was looking them over I noticed a weld mark coming through the chrome where the cone shaped piece meets the cylinder. Is that an acceptable flaw? The left pipe is very smooth but the right pipe has this seam... Please let me know if that is something that is out of limits...

Can you post a picture? I've had Bubs on my bike since 03 and love them. The only problem I've had was losing a baffle on the freeway. I had to purchase a new baffle for about 35.00, and I received quick and friendly service from them. Neither will ever come out again as I replaced the soft rivets with steel. Give them a call, I'm sure they will work with you.

I have the exact same seam on the exact same pipe. New Bubs, about two weeks old. It really doesn't bother me though, as it's pretty small and the pipes sounds really good. They look pretty tough too...
