Number 10 fuse, solid yellow wire.

Rear of bike: Solid yellow wire at the inboard side of the connector that supplies the rear light wiring harness, usually located under the seat, left hand side. This wire changes to solid red on the outboard side of this junction, in case you want to splice in further downstream. Both wires are fuse protected at #10 fuse.

Front of bike: The solid yellow wire that supplies juice to the little parking lamp inside the headlight. This wire is easily accessible inside headlight bucket, which would allow a new length of wire to pass out the back of the headlight.

The key shuts off power to the yellow wire at both ends when in the off position, yet will allow power to the yellow wire when the key is in the park position.

Forgive me if I'm blurting the obvious, but I preach solder & heat shrink, covered by split loom from end to end. Butt connectors generally offer dissimilar metal to the copper wire, and an eventual loss of grip. Tape alone (even good ol' 3M #33) is often not a question of if the bike is going to catch fire, it's more a matter of when.
If you wanna get all fancy up on to it, you can even get
chrome split loom

I ran a new wire off the battery for both the Stebel Horn and the running lights. #10 wire fused at 15 amps. By the way, nice to see you.
