This is one World Series that I wouldn't even think about betting on. It can easily go either way.

I tried to by a broom the other day, but all the stores are sold out. There has been a lot of sweeping going on the last couple of weeks around here.

A RED SOX PRAYER Our Father, who art at Fenway...Baseball be thy game. Thy Kingdom come, Playoffs need to be won, On Earth, then on to the Cask 'n' Flagon. Give us this day, a perfect Papi, And forgive us our losses, As we forgive those, Like Bill Buckner. And lead us not, into desperation, But deliver us from any losses. For thine is the Power, And the Glory, to beat the Colorado Rockies, Forever and ever.... Yankees s*** A-men.

I've told a company that i'm talking to that if I have to fly out any time in the next week for a face to face interview, that it had better include box seats! After all, that's the only GOOD way to interview someone, right!!

I think the fact that Colorado blew by Arizona so fast and had a long LAYOFF......impacted them.
They lost their rythm. They need to hopefully regain it or those yo yos from Massachusetts ate going to run away from them.

I use to like boston, until I heard their second album and discovered it was exactly the same as the first album then about a dozen years later heard their third album and it was exactly the same as the first and second album Soren

It's gonna be a different ballgame when you guys get here. Dice-K's pitches won't move, and Manny's butt-scratching method of fielding ain't gonna work in our outfield.
BTW, look for me holding the flag on the field during the National Anthem on Saturday! Go Rockies!!!!

Post a picture of your face here, so we will know who to look for...or maybe you could wear a Triumph t-shirt.

Looks like they've started to regain their rythym after last nights game. If this goes on each game, I'm never going to leave the couch! I NEVER used to watch sports on TV (boring me thinks!), but this kind of game is hard NOT to watch!

Well. it was a tough loss.....but....even though those commie red sox won the game they left a lot of men on base ...and that is not a good trend.

Aye, broken toe lots of time on my hand.
I was not going to wade in on this as I lived in CO. and still have fond memories of riding my 71 Tiger all over the state.
Nothing like tooling down 25 at 6:00 in the morning as the sun is coming up on Pikes Peak in July absolutely one of the most beautiful sites you will ever experience.
Being a Boston boy and suffering through decades of misery and wait until next year. I'm sorry to say you guy's are screwed. Granted Dice K's four seam fastball may not move, but Manny and Big Papi are going to be hitting balls out of that ballpark like its batting practice.
Wait until next year !!!!

TICK, TOCK, TICK, TOCK... Ya know what that sound is? That's the clock ticking down on the lucky start the Loser Sox had. Tonight, they're gonna be gasping for air in that Mile High Stadium...

I hate to say it Greg, but my guess is the Red Sox in five.
The Sox lineup, with the exception of Lugo, are amazing hitters with great patience at the plate. And the Rockies pitching staff while good, don't seem good enough to hold 'em. There be no Koufaxs or Gibsons or even any Shillings on that roster o' theirs, ya know.
(the only chance the Rockies have is if Manny drops a few more fly balls out there in left field than he usually does)

Or perhaps they gave Boston 4 games at home so that there was at least a CHANCE of them winning the Series.... haahaa... I'm only talking trash, but as MUCH as I'd like to see the new guys win their first trip to the Series, the strength that they are facing is impressive, and root for the underdogs or not, got to face the facts. As long as they make Boston fight heart and soul and bleed for every point, I'll be happy!

6 to zip 3rd inning. A pitcher getting a base hit and an RBI in a World Series game? Even the Sox coach seem surprised at that.

That powerhouse of a Rockies lineup will come back! Yesirsee Bob...err....Bucky and Charlie, I mean!
YEP!!! Those National League Champs remind me of Murderers Row, the mid-70's Big Red Machine, AND those highly(and over) paid Yankees of late....ALL ROLLED INTO ONE!!!

Well, as much as it saddens my heart to say it, Congratulations Boston! Colorado had it's chance and blew it, maybe they'll take a lesson from this and prepare for next year.

I didn't doubt that the Red Sox was going to to win. I was hoping that the Rockies would have been able to make it a bit tougher (at least 6 games). I kind of have a soft spot for the Rockies. I was living in Denver when it was announced that they were going to get a MLB team.

They swept us here at home, not in Boston, so everything I said was true... from a certain point of view.

I had awesome seats last night, and as painful as it was, I stuck around for a long time after the game was over.
The most charming thing was all the Red Socks fans (probably 10,000) gathered up in the seats behind their dugout chanting "YANKEES SUCK!" Way to taunt your rivals from 3.000 miles away! That pretty much killed any ill will I had toward the Red Socks fans!
