Call them what you want, I'm talking about the pouches / bags that strap to the forks. I know there have been posts but nothing came up in the searches...

For the members that have/use these. Can you direct me to some pics or tell me what you have and how you like them. Also just as a general curiosity, what do you put in them. I wanted to use mine for the disk lock and a leatherman tool, perhaps a small can of chan lube.

IIRC, I have a willie and max fork bag, sorry no pics.
Normally in mine is a tire gauge, headlight bulb, leatherman, cable and lock, and a bungee cord.

I have the Willie & Max TP100. Great fork bag. I use the box that came with the freak and store a boat load of tools in it. Here's the bag:

Here's the box with tools:

Everything I carry in the bag:

Note the aluminum tabs underneath the bag? They are to keep it off the forks so it won't wear shiny spots on the fork shrouds. btw, I've had this on there for about 4 years.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of them hanging off the front of the forks. I moved mine to the foot control bar. I keep in it the following, you know, to help my Harley riding buddies:
Metric wrenches, the usual sizes
3/8" metric sockets and wrench
Allen head sockets
Multi-tool.
Small vise grips
I can't remember the brand, nothing fancy but leather. Believe I paid about $30 a few years back.

I've tried mine low like Al's and also on the forks. If it rubs the forks shrouds it can kind of mar the brushed finish. One solution is to put felt between the bag & shroud, or make a bracket to keep it off the shroud like I did.
Good luck.

Saddleman Large Drifter Tool Bag, on homemade aluminum mounts. Carried a full tool bag roll, flashlight, electrical tape, surgeon' gloves, and a rag. But, I never needed any of it.

Had it there for a couple of years: no problems. Took it off to mount a couple of high powered driving lights there.

Non Bracket and too deep a bag v proper sized bag with bracket.

Wayah Road on the East Side of life...

The thing about Mary er tool rolls on the front above the fender is they will touch the fender when using the shock absorbing function of the front forks. The brackets hold the bag off the shrouds and if you buy the right sized bag the brackets will hold the bottom off of the fender when the forks compress.

Me? Oh well. My shrouds show wear and the fender does too! Things sag after a while.

anybody that has seen mine knows that i have it hanging on the rear of the pillion backrest. looks good because i have the saddlebags and they sorta tie together as a package. solved the rubbing the front fork shroud issue and is easily accessable.

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!
