I'm looking for opinions on the Corbin gunfighter seat for the Speedmaster from folks that have purchased one. I love putting miles on my bike but I finally got tired of the pressure that the stock seat puts on my tailbone. I definitely want to do some more touring but it definitely won't be on the stock seat.
I've been eyeing the gunfighter and the seat with a separate pillion pad. I've sat on the solo seat and it felt good but it's a bit pricier than just the gunfighter.

You can chewck out my gunfighter in my photoes. I like mine, but when your talking to the factory, tell them not to use their standard harrd foam. You will want teh "little bit softer " stuff. Mine has put a hot spot on my tail bone where the up sweep of the seat starts. I called them and they said to send it back and they would "soften it up" but i traded out my stock seat so im waiting till riding season is over to send it in. ALSO ORDER IT DIRECT FROM THEM. If you do like i did, from the dealer, guess who owns the warrenty?? so you end up having to send it to the dealer to send back to the company.
I do like my seat and it is a far cry better than stock.

Greg I don't know about the gunfighter but the solo is great. I don't see the gunfighter being any different in comfort just style. My advice is get it, it's worth the cost and makes a world of difference.

I've had my Corbin Gunfighter for about three weeks now. It seemed a bit hard at first, but I've now put about 450 miles on it, and it really seems to be conforming nicely to my backside. I think it's like a nice high end horse saddle that you have to break in before it starts getting comfortable - and it has to me. It's MUCH more supportive than the foam stock saddle, and I feel more part of the bike when I ride.
One change that I would make if I had it to do over would be to NOT order the saddle just like the one on the Corbin website. The black faux alligator and the faux ostrich are okay, but the faux snake just makes it a bit too "busy." I would go with plain black leather with a coordinating color welt around the main saddle that matched my tank color OR I'd extend the ostrich back on the passenger area of the saddle. I'm considering dyeing the snake black to tone it down a bit. Finally, I would ask them not to put provisions for a back rest in. Corbin will try to talk you out of this change, but the flap covering the hole for an optional backrest detracts from an otherwise clean design, and I have absolutely no intention of installing a back rest.
Corbin also seems to have tightened up their customer service, and I've no complaints at all with them. Fit finish and quality are excellent.
I would recommend this saddle without reservations (other than my choice of materials.)
Hope this helped you in your decision.

My only reservation about it is what beamer said about his gunfighter seat and why I want to change out my stock seat. The pressure on my tailbone after about 2-3 hours is a killer. I didn't have any problems with my stock seat during the GA rally since we were doing a lot of varied riding with plenty of breaks in between. The problem arises after putting on serious highway miles or lots of non-stop riding. I'd like to save the $200 between the gunfighter and solo/pillion pad but from the pictures, the gunfighter looks too similar to what I've got right now (looking at the slope of the seat as it swoops up from the crotch to the top of the butt). I've sat in a few Corbin solo seats and they felt really good (I don't see how Phil stays awake in his easy chair setup with the Corbin and the Buckhorns I also like the gunfighter seat over the solo and pillion since I'm not concerned with being able to ride two-up. Hmmm, decisions, decisions...
Remember, always be yourself. Unless you suck.

My personal opinion is that the Corbin Gunfighter is way more comfortable than the stock seat and just seems to be getting better with each ride as it continues to get broken in. I have lower back "issues" and feel that the Corbin Gunfighter offers better support in this area as well.

I got the Corbin Speedmaster Gunfighter saddle this past winter. I've put about 1500 miles on the bike since then and find it to be very comfortable. It is much better than the stock seat.

I ordered my Gunfighter early last week. So about how long did it take for ya to get it? They said about three weeks? Ordered it plain black with "performance red" flames on the back.I like flashy bikes! Also asked em to soften it up a little, based on what I am hearing around the Forum. Al

I got mine in less than two weeks, even though they said it would take three. I like the flames effect you're having done. Sounds great!
