I am going to order the Wiseco big bore kit and make mine a 1850cc as soon as I buy the 1540 twin. So there.

Look at it this way John let's hope that 1500cc nation gets it's wish so they can get their friggen bikes, have their own forum, and be spared another year of this crap! Besides my head starting to hurt

Detail

Well I'm glad I looked at the photo's. All is now clear. For those without 20/20 vision here are the details. - The front appears to have one wheel. - The rider is in the middle of the bike. We assume the seat is in this area. - The yellow plate at the back is the number plate. - The rider is wearing dayglow yellow on a secret test ride. Numpty.

No offense meant but I don't know why you keep complaining about the "1500cc nation" every time our favorite rumor crops up.
The thread's subject clearly states "1500cc Triumph Cruiser" so it is easily avoidable.
This is the "other bikes" section and since it is an upcoming/rumored model, it is bound to emerge every now and again.
Plus it is supposedly a TRIUMPH twin styled after the Speedmaster/America so it presents even more interest.

Besides, is this the way to welcome the new guy?

Oxy,

Welcome to the island.
Just for your info the link you kindly posted has been around for a few months now and as you will have gathered, the subject has been featured extensively.

Our Favorite?? Well "no offence" it's not mine and I'm not alone in feeling this way. It ceased being fresh a long time ago. I didn't mind the first few but after the first dozen it got old and I do wish that this rumor came up every now and then but it's gone way past this. I do wish I can totally avoid the subject. Also the subject gets slipped in other threads and I can still read the tittles So when 1500cc nation shuts up then I will.
Oh buy the way Oxy welcome to the zoo. My complant wasn't necessarily pointed to you but if you do a 1500cc search then you know what I'm talking about.

It's not the 1500cc threads that bother me, it's all the mentions of the 1500cc RUMOR (honestly, it might not actually make it to market -- you never know -- 'S' happens) that get sprinkled into other threads.

i wanted to put an end to all this nonsense, once for all, so i took time out of my busy schudele to call the factory [long distance] to get the straight of it. they told me un-equivacally it [the new bike] was gonna be called the TRIUMPH YOTA, whatever that means,,,,,,, i had a few 'refreshments', don't remember clearly the dis-placement, 1526,1626,277, i just don't recall,, just TRIUMPH YOTA. what kind of a name for a new and exciting bike is this???? maybe it's in honor of someone?????

Each bike will have a permanant line to the Tems (sp?) for cooling and have wing attachments for flying plus have a long trunk and come in any color you want as long as it's pink.

I called my service dealer about them doing the BB kit for me. He went to the Triumph Dealer meeting and said they told them nothing about the new twin cruiser other than it probably would be coming out mid to late next year.

I'm scheduling getting the BB done next week, if I can work a time to get it to them.

I can't believe I'm resurrecting this thread, but I just saw this over on Trat.net in the Rocket III forum:

Quote:

After a long conversation with the rep and stating that I had the last year T-Bird. He said Oh don't worry the "Thunderbird will soon live again,...it just won't be a triple." He then stopped and said he spoke to soon and wouldn't crack on more information. Maybe this will be the long awaited 1530 thats been rumored.

The Thunderbird wouldn't be a bad name for the bike. Plus it would p!ss a lot of people off. And I love it anytime that happens.

I agree.
If true, I hope it will live up to the expectations (design-wise) the name deserves.

Yota seems very consistent with his claim that it will be 1620cc.
Does he know something we don't?

we should make a wager on the actual displacement of the new bike. $10 buy-in and everyone picks a square...closest one wins it all.
