OK, I admit it, I was having a bad day at work today, and was surfin, as usual, when I decided to check on a thread that I had started on "BritBike.com" concerning the dead cylinder on my '72 T-120. (Britbike.com, "forums", "british motorcycle specific brands", "triumph bulletin board", "(DFS, Dead Frikkin Cylinder, by me, b737doc). I, and my wife Kimmy, both agreed the this guy "Tiger" was a jerk in one of the responses to the thread, by saying I was a DPO, Dreaded Previous Owner, in the way I was trying to start the bike for the first time. Well, today, yet another "jerk", as I see it, added fuel, agreeing with this "Tiger" dude, that's when I lost it, and let it all out. My response was not pretty, and I vowed to never use the site again due to their arrogance and "better than thou" attitude, as I read it...Please take a gander at the thread, and let me know if you agree with me...To me, these, or at least some of these people are simply arrogant, and think that if you have'nt owned a british bike since you were an infant, or if you don't have 35 classic british bikes in your garage, that your just some joe with no idea as to what your doing. Screw 'em, Im done with them....

I read one mildly chippy comment doc which you responded to very directly. I don't think any great offense should be taken on anyone's part - this is the internet.

Mark, don't let it get to you, who cares. There are plenty of folks here who have experience with the old bikes. Heck, I had a '69 Daytona 500, and a '71 750 Commando Roadster. Uncle Charlie

I have to side with doc... there was no need for that type of attitude. Not at all friendly OR constructive... I think Tiger falls into the 'annoying troll' catagory. And rather than doc 'thinking' before he writes Tiger should take a leaf out of that book... notice how Tiger didn't post again

I gotta go with Bill here. All I saw was some 'slightly' flippant attitude.
I've never saw that attitude here though (I SO have to find a 'big smilie with tongue in cheek').

There's a ball-buster in every crowd, don't sweat it. Sometimes if you play their game, that guy/gal can be an eventual asset and you'll learn something.

I read about a dozen replies on that thread from people trying to offer advice and help with your question. I know that somethimes when someone really pisses me off I can only think about that and miss the big picture
