Trade in my Speedmaster on a 2007 8-Ball on sale for about $2K below list price?
They're offering a trade in right in between list & trade in values.
Tempting... decisions, decisions...

If it helps I had a 102 inch motor Yamaha Warrior, and it does make more torque, but those big v-twins don't rev very well, and don't handle as good either, I sold it and bought back my Speedy, hope this helps!

Agree with that but, it seems there would be a large difference in the ride, doesn't everyone have one of those V-twin things? Ride safe!

Neill, first of all I really love my Speedy. It's just plain fun to ride and has served me well for almost 15,000 miles. It would be tough to part with, especially since it's my first bike.

But the Speedmaster a mid-size cruiser and it has it's limitations. I also have a Victory Kingpin and it's been serving us great as a 2-up touring cruiser. Gobs of power & low-end torque in a 100 inch mill, 6 speed transmission with overdrive, superb handling. It out-performs the Speedy all around.

The 8-Ball is a solo cruiser that has the same 100 inch engine, 5 speed tranny, and also handles great.

The Victory dealer is offering an excellent deal. I'm wondering if I should trade in the Speedy while the getting is good. The warranty expires next month and I'll be due for tires soon.

You gotta go with what is best for you. This is one of those things that you really shouldn't be asking others for their approval or dissaproval. It is something that you have to ask yourself then be honest with yourself. So the real question is, will you be happy with yourself, or is there doubt, doubt and fear that you will later regret whatever decision you make.

If you really NEED a bigger bike, it's a good deal.
The only thing I really dont' like about my Speedy is that it does get blown around on the highway way more than a heavier bike. For rain and wind and cold and riding across Kansas and Nebraska is October or April, a bigger bike like the 8Ball is super. But for nice weather, the SM is great.
If I didn't have my Harley, I'd have a 8Ball, rode one and it's pretty nice.

If I had the money I would test ride a Victory.I heard a 1% warranty claim statis. That's hard to beat.Money is hard to come by right now,but if I could I would, if I liked the test ride.If I really wanted a V-twin bad I would go for it over a Harley if I liked the way it rode. One of my friends who is or was a Harley guy got himself the Vegas or Jackpot and loves it.

REALLY. I have good friends in Seukendorf near Fürth, as well as in Schwabach, and used to frequent Ansbach when I worked with Bosch. Between that and München, kind of like my 2nd home(although not so much now that I transferred companies, although our headquarters is in Herzogenaurach)...
