Dearest Friends Across The Pond, Is there really an interest in American Football, in London Town? I am a little surprised that this is taking place at Wembley ...
On Oct. 28, Wembley will host the first regular-season NFL game outside North America. It took just 90 minutes to sell the first 40,000 tickets for the game between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants. Goodell said event organizers have sold 95,000 tickets in all. Goodell spoke about the possibility of a British Super Bowl after a luncheon Monday in Scottsdale sponsored by the host committee for the 2008 Super Bowl in Arizona.
I'd sooner expect Celtic F.C. to play at The Meadowlands.

There has been a "American Football Exhibition Game" played in England for years. It may have stopped for a while when they were rebuilding Wembley. I remember going to see a game in the early 90's. It was dead boring, not enough goal scoring
I and a bunch of others used to sit up all night in England to watch the superbowl. It comes on about 2am in the morning live.
What ever happened to the European NFL or what ever it was called,, do they sit have that. What was the London team, London Broncos or something.

London Broncos are rugby league. Not sure if some name swapping went on but the London teams are London Blitz and London Olympians.
