And so do a lot of other people it seems. This week-end was took my TBA to a local independent shop for my Dyno run (will tell that story a little later). On the way was stoped at a redlight and a guy next to me honked his horn and gave the thumbs up.Once at the shop (I had never been there before)thought I would get a rash of sh** not being a Harley or sport bike. The shop owner loved the bike.On the way home was stopped twice at redlights with people asking questions. On Sunday 2 guys at the local grocery store wanted to talk about the bike. This after comming back from a biker bar in the Laurel Mountains of Pennsylvania with nothing but complements.I know I'm rambling but I love this bike

Get used to it
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

TBA's definitely are eye catchers even down here in Cochran where I live, people are always asking what kind of bike mine is and when I say Triumph their reply is "well I thought they were outa business,I used to own one of them bikes myself, or it shore is purty". LOL

Same here... everytime I park up, same thing. You go do your business and you get back to some dude stood there taking in the curves and reminiscing of days gone by. It really is good, I love it!!

Hey David, This is a for real honest to goodness story..... The day my son got his M/C license his 16th birthday I had a car that needed a state safety inspection as well as his 02 BA, I said you ride your bike and follow me, On a two lane highway at 65 mph we passed a Texas DPS state trooper going the opposite way, I looked in the mirror and seen him hit his brake lights and pull to the right as other cars behind him needed to clear and he spun around and started our way, I verified our speed and was 5 under and Glyn was riding as straight as an arrow. He must have got a call and will be flying past us in a bit.... He pulled up behind my son and hit his siren... My son signals and pulls over as I do also... I sit in the car and see my son talking to him as DPS doesn't like you to get out of the car uninvited, The Trooper then approaches the car and said " I understand that your this young mans father"? yes sir I said. Well I'm sorry that I'm imposing on you guy's but "I seen that was a Triumph America your boy was riding and just had to get a closer look" "Is that ok"? UUhhh sure officer! We talked for 30 minutes and he asked 200 questions and thanked us several times for takeing the time to share a look at this beautiful bike! All the time my son was hyperventilating and his legs were shaking cause he thought he did something wrong when pulled over, And finally he told the Trooper... "sir you scared the crap out of me" Oh I so remember the first time I got stopped my hands shook so bad I could hardly sign the ticket. True story for real T

So many people I encounter love the bike and so many ask the same question:When did they start making Triumphs again? My only question would be:Why don't they advertise more?

On our run to Chickamauga last month, an older gent at a gas station in rural Georgia really gave it to me for not buying American. I felt that was kinda odd since I noticed he was driving a Toyota. True story.

Hey Ryan! I think I know that guy!
Was we pullin' a trailer with a Harley on it behind that Toyota o' his???
(though I have to admit there "might be" a few more guys out there like this than ya might think, so maybe it wasn't the same guy, huh?!...never mind)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Just recently had a very good looking young lady ask 'What kind of Harley is that?' She was so good looking, I took a long time to explain.

I have on a few occasions, had a hot babe or two tell me, "Hey, nice looking harley". I just give the thumbs up and smile. I did offer and explaination one time. But, I saw her eyes kind of glaze over and a expression of bewilderment surfaced. I'v had this happen with dudes to be fair about it. The one I get the most from self proclaimed biker experts is, "who makes triumph"? Doesn't seem to help when I tell them triumph makes them.,,,But mostly its the older gent who had a sixty something triumph, bsa, norton , matchless, etc. And seem to be truly happy to see a new one and are always full of complements.

I have decided that every old guy in my apartment complex has owned a Triumph at one time or another.

You're all a bunch of egotistical posers!!!!

The best thing I did to my bike was take the tank badges off. It brings down the average age of the people who stop you but, also, changes the gender of more than a few of 'em, too!!!
Wait a minute here, Neill!!!
Are you sayin' that taking the Triumph badges off your bike attracts transsexuals???
Well In THAT CASE, I'm keepin' mine on, thank you very much!!!
(dah dah um dah dah...dude looks like a lady...dah dah um dah dah....)

Yeah...but they're pretty transsexuals. Or between-op trannies. And you wouldn't know to look at 'em. Only when they get their kit off that...erm...but...y'know...
