I rewired some new bars on the bike today. Did a test before closing everything up with heat shrink and it all worked as advertised...now, when I got it all put back together and turned the key on, the horn beeped once on its own and then wouldnt work when pushing the button. ALSO, I dont have any brake light-front or rear. Are these 2 circuits tied together? Maybe one of my wires inside the grips shorted out causing this? Thanks for your help!

Best looking black girl around! 2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around. Jeff

Did you check your fuses. I found that the fuses might blow but still look intact. Check # 7 8 and 10.

You sure you got the connector blocks in the headlight housing connected correctly? They are very easy to mistakenly swap as both will fit in both.

Sounds like the igniton switch turned on the headlight connector which was attached to the horn...
Did you blow fuse #7?
