I tried searching, and again I think its user error.

Ok, here's my next question in what I am sure will be many...

One of the pieces of accessories that I ordered with my $1200 play money was a solo seat. It has a little flange on the back of it and a bolt. This looks as though it goes where the pointy thing is on the fender (where the stock seat snaps on). Now my question is this: do I need to remove the two screws that hold this plate to the fender and remove the entire assembly, or just the center "pointy" piece and screw the new bolt into that hole?

Thanks!

Remove the two screws holding the pointy thing assembly. I think you called it a plate. The fender is already tapped for either a SM 'gunfighter seat' or the combo seat. There is a nut attached to the underside of the fender.
