So I buy a motorcycle mount for my GPS. Installed it this morning and to test it, I took a leisurely 120 mile ride trying to find a Triumph dealer that I hadn't been to. The GPS took me right to the dealers address only to discover that they aren't there! It's 76 degrees out, a slight breeze and virtually cloudless sky with little traffic on the road. A waste of two and a half hours? I think not. Tomorrows weather forecast is the same so I'm half tempted to try it again just in case I read the GPS wrong! Don't you just hate when that happens?

I was looking for Winchester Mototsports. I never bothered to call, so I don't know exactly what happened other than there being nothing there at the address they listed.

Always up for a riding buddy Mark. If I read it right, you're about an hour away. PM me and let's meet up somewhere.

Nick, I was at Winchester Motosports today. Take 81 to the Clearbrook exit... they are right there on the right just off the exit. Bye the way, it's about time some of us NOVA triumph riders got together and did a ride.

That figures. The address and GPS had me take the exit and go left. There I go not paying attention but enjoying the day and the ride!
Doing a NOVA ride works for me, how do we go about organizing something?

Whenever you do, don't forget to put up a post so us MD guy's can join in.
Depending on my schedule, if I can work it out, I am thinking a Skyline run in a couple weeks...
"It's a hundred and six miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."

I found out some time ago that the address they have listed is not friendly to mapquest or most gps. it sends you to the wrong side of 81 to a T intersection where there is nothing but a field in front of you. their building actually sits right next to 81 just off the nb ramp.

Will do Fred, and Skyline sounds good to me. I've been meaning to do that but haven't made it yet.

That's exactly where the GPS took me. Such a lovely field at that intersection. Well shucks, I guess I'll just have to try that ride again now that I know where they are!

I have to get my bike back from being repaired before I can make a ride. But as soon as I do I'm in. Nick, literally the Winchester Motosports parking lot backs up to the fence next to the 81 off ramp at the Clearbrook exit. As you take the ramp start looking right... they are right there on the other side of the fence.

That's what I get for having blinders on and enjoying the day. Oh well, guess I'll just have to do that scenic ride again. Darn. Shucks.
Thanks for the info, I'll check them out soon.
As we're probably on the hairy edge of getting this thread kicked into rides and events if we go too much farther, I'll start a new post there and we can figure something out.
