Was looking at the carbs today and was wondering if the airbox could be removed and two small high flow air filters put in it's place. Has this type of mod been done before that anyone knows of?

Okay, Find the word search near the top of the page, click on it. Do a search for the terms - freak, pods, air box mod, in the Tech Talk forum. That should give you plenty of info to start with. Then find Dinquas jetting calculator and you should be good to go. That is, after you upgrade the exhaust.

I know what you mean, but I didn't 160 posts ago...
We were all new at one point and sometimes it's the "experienced" people around here that can be even funnier.

Hey Steve, don't let the knuckleheads chase you off. Please do a search though. There's tons of info from the results. Check out the How to Search thread and if that does not help, please ask questions. Check out the Tech Vault too. There are NO dumb questions here. RIGHT, guys????

When I first bought this bike, I had more than my share of stupid questions. No matter what endeavor, we were/are all newbies once.

No sir! No dumb questions sir!
After I clicked 'Submit' I wondered how many people would think I'm being a jerk and how many would think I was being a goofball. I figured there would be a flood of replies about the Freak.
