Just wondering, what is the 0 - 60 mph time of our Bikes ?
Both stock and modified.

I love the the quick takeoff of my bike, but don't like riding too fast. Leave most cars way behind at trafic lights, but there are a few drivers who have to run me down and pass on down the road, usaly in a old beater.

Blue '03 TBA, Made in England. (50+ mpg).

Funny I have never thought of this one. I have lifted the front wheel on the Speedy one time I was actually quite surprised by this I must admit.

I think Triumph quoted 5.5/6 seconds. Personally, I don't think that's what these bikes are about. For me, it's the 30 to 80 times: get on the gas out of a roundabout, change up at 51/2k revs thru the gears and revel in the acceleration and sound. I've still got stock airbox and filter on mine but the induction noise is sooo addictive.

The Speedmaster's with the 16T sprocket have an advantage here .

I often bang through the first 3 gears and then back off and cruise at 60 or so in the city (six lane roads).
I try and save the 80-110 stuff for the highway and country roads.

I recently timed my fifth-gear 60-80 at 7 seconds. I was a tad disappointed actually...

60-80 relates to the 3-4000 rev range which is where Triumph have to reduce the power to pass emissions tests. Drop it down a gear or 2 (or 3 if you're mechanically-sadistic).
Incidentally (and a slight hijack), before I had the first service done, I could hit 79 in 2nd at the red line; I can just clear 70 now. That thicker oil doesn't half sap power. (and before anyone says it, yes, I do realise it's needed.)

It was just something I tried for s****-n-giggles. Its a little higher in the rev range for me than 3-4k, since 85 mph for me is bang on 5000 rpm.
