OK, I thought I’d get ripped off by Triumph and ordered the Caliper Covers. I know this is not rocket science but during my usual pre-installation check, they appear not to really fit properly and just had a few questions for those that installed them. I have a 2007 TBA and perhaps they changed the calipers over the years.

Front Cover:
1) The area on the Caliper where the cover mounts is not flat. You have the two round areas but there is a slightly raised 13mm (1/2 inch) wide section in the casting stretching across the round areas. It would appear that after the installation, the only real contact point is across the 10mm raised area rather than the whole surface. I guess the question is for those that own 2002 - 2006 America's do you have that raised area on the caliper.
2) The edges of the cover appear to sit on the surface portion of the caliper rather than go around the edges as compared to the rear. Is this consistent with what others have noticed.

Rear Cover:
1) There is a fair bit of slack around the edges. That is the cover overhangs the mounting area on the caliper by 2 -3 mm is that what others have found?? In reality, the "front cover" is a neat fit on the rear caliper. If it wasn't for the scalloped cutouts in the rear covers (that allow for the bolt removal), one would be tempted to put the front cover on the rear.

For the price of these things one would have expected a better fit. Prior to installation or sending them back, can others advise their experience???

Hi Henry the calipers havent changed over the years. Mine is a 2004 and I put them on and yes I thought the same, maybe Triumph had not measured them properly or something. I recently upgraded the front end and they do not make them for the speedmaster (Why not) so I have one on the rear and none up at the front..

There is another option at britishcustoms.com. I dont know if they are sized differently. Has anyone tried these? Thinking of ordering...

The ones from BC say they will not fit a speedmaster, if that means anything. Didn't they changed the 07 TBA rear wheel?
